Does my subscription automatically renew?

Yes. Mentatype subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel.
As defined in our Terms & Conditions (Section 1.3 “Subscription”), a Subscription is recurring paid access that renews automatically unless canceled.

Trial → paid subscription (automatic conversion)

If you start a Trial Period, it automatically converts into a paid Subscription unless canceled before the trial ends, as described in Terms & Conditions (Section 1.3 “Trial Period” and Section 6.1).

Under Section 6.1, the Trial Period:

  • lasts seven (7) days (unless stated otherwise);
  • includes a one-time charge of $1.00;
  • provides access to subscription features during the trial;
  • automatically converts to a paid plan unless canceled before the trial ends.

If you do not cancel in time, you expressly authorize us and our payment processors to charge your payment method for the subscription fee immediately upon expiration of the trial (Section 6.1).

Recurring billing and renewal schedule

After the trial (or if you purchase a standard plan without a trial), your Subscription will renew automatically in each Billing Cycle, as described in Terms & Conditions (Section 6.2 and Section 6.3).

Key billing terms:

  • Standard Subscription price: $29.99 per month (Section 6.2).
  • Your payment method is charged automatically on a recurring basis (Section 6.2–6.3).
  • Recurring billing continues until you cancel (Section 6.3).

How to cancel (to avoid the next charge)

To stop future renewals, you must cancel before your next renewal date.
Cancellation is available via (Terms & Conditions Section 6.6):

After you cancel:

  • your Subscription will not renew;
  • you keep access until the end of the current Billing Cycle;
  • no refunds are provided for unused time, except where required by law or stated in the Refund Policy (Section 6.6–6.7).
  • You will receive a confirmation email once your subscription has been canceled.

Refunds and charge disputes (important)

As stated in our Terms:

  • Subscription fees are generally non-refundable and there are no partial refunds for unused time (Section 6.7; Refund Policy Section 7.2–7.3).
  • If you have a billing issue, we recommend contacting us first at [email protected] before initiating a chargeback (Refund Policy Section 7.6).

Privacy note (payment processing and data)

Payments are processed by secure third-party payment processors, and we do not store full card numbers. How we handle personal data (including limited billing-related data we may receive) is described in our Privacy Policy (Section 3.4 “Payment Information” and Section 4.1(b) “Payment Processing and Subscription Management”).
