I didn't authorize a subscription or recurring charge

The Mentatype subscription system operates according to our Terms & Conditions, which you accepted when registering or purchasing access to the Services.

During checkout, the trial price, subscription price, and automatic renewal terms are clearly displayed before completing the purchase. By completing the purchase, you authorize Mentatype and its payment processors to charge your selected payment method in accordance with the subscription terms.

How the trial and subscription work

As described in Section 6 of our Terms & Conditions, some Mentatype subscriptions may begin with a Trial Period that automatically converts into a paid Subscription unless canceled before the trial ends.

After starting a trial or subscription, you typically receive confirmation details that include:

  • Your subscription terms and billing conditions
  • Information about upcoming charges
  • Trial period duration
  • The subscription price after the trial period
  • Instructions on how to cancel the subscription

Automatic renewal

Subscriptions are recurring and automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled beforehand, as described in Section 6.3 of the Terms & Conditions.

Important points:

  • Subscriptions continue until canceled
  • Your payment method is charged automatically on renewal dates
  • You must cancel before the next billing date to avoid additional charges
  • You can cancel at any time through your Account settings / Self-Service Portal or by contacting [email protected]

Example billing timeline

A typical subscription timeline may work as follows:

  1. Day 1: Trial period begins — $1*
  2. Day 7: Trial period ends
  3. Day 7–8: Paid subscription begins — $29.99 per month*
  4. Each billing cycle: The subscription renews automatically unless canceled before the renewal date
